Level 3 Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults



This course is designed for all persons, no matter the field that they are directly involved in, to give

them the tools and knowledge to make a difference to a vulnerable person’s life.

Course Description:

This course will enable all learners to understand the duty they have to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect. Learners will understand how to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect and what actions to take to stop this from happening and reoccurring in the future. Learners will also know how to report abuse and safeguard themselves in every day work. Topics covered are as follows;

• Safeguarding legislation and guidance
• Indicators of abuse or neglect
• Making judgements
• Communication
• Roles and responsibilities
• Sharing of information
• Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints
• Assessment and marking
